How to Clean and Care for Clear Aligners
Aligner care protects both the appliance and your oral health. Cleaning aligners regularly helps prevent odor, buildup, and stains while keeping treatment comfortable.
Daily Cleaning Routine
Use a soft toothbrush and cool water to clean the inside and outside of the aligner. A mild, clear soap may be used if recommended by the office. Avoid abrasive toothpaste and hot water.
Storing Aligners Safely
Put aligners in their case whenever they are removed. Wrapping them in a napkin or leaving them loose increases the risk of loss or damage.
Cleaning While Traveling
Pack a small brush, case, and approved cleaning supplies. Keep aligners away from heat, including hot cars and boiling water.
